PHMAP17 accepts short papers (minimum 2pages, maximum 4pages) or full papers. Accepted papers will be presented as oral or poster presentation.
Short Papers should briefly describe theoretical or experimental findings within 2 pages, but not be over 4 pages. Short papers shall include summarized experimental procedures and results, along with clear illustration of research novelty. It should also follow standard practices for scientific papers in particular, including the following: a) brief abstract, b) introduction section, c) short review of related work or work this paper build upon, d) conclusion discussing the contributions and weakness of the approach, e) list of references.
Full Papers should describe new and carefully confirmed findings, and experimental procedures or results should be given in detail sufficient. A full paper should be long enough to describe and interpret the work clearly, placing it in the context of other research. It should also follow standard practices for scientific papers in particular, including the following: a) brief abstract, b) introduction section, c) short review of related work or work this paper build upon, d) conclusion discussing the contributions and weakness of the approach, e) list of references.
Short or full papers should strictly follow the official template below and be in accordance with the abstract you submitted. Both Microsoft Word and PDF files of the papers are requested to submit. The template document includes detailed instructions on different aspect, line numbering of figure, format of citation and listing of references and other related to equations.

A major differentiator for the Prognostics and Health Management (PHM) Society is its modern approach toward intellectual property rights. Authors retain copyright in their work while allowing the PHM Society to distribute their work through a Creative Commons License. As a result, all articles published by the PHM Society are available to the global PHM community via the internet for free and without any restrictions.
